"Went out of his way..."

Jose Castro [provided the entertainment] for my Daughter Cassie's Bat Mitzvah on 6/13/09.  Mr. Castro went out of his way to keep the children entertained.  This in turn provided the adults with entertainment by watching the children.  He came out to our home prior to the event in order to make sure we knew exactly what was going to be provided to us by him.  By doing this he was able to see exactly what we wanted in terms of games and songs.  The New York relatives loved him and they are hard to please.  We truly recommend him for any event.

"Fantastic!"

Jose is a fantastic DJ who came fully equipped with everything. Prior to the big day, he met with us on several occasions to find out what we were looking for and even sat down with the boys to generate playlists, game questions, likes, dislikes, etc. He was extremely attentive to every detail of the party and incorporated everything we wanted. He brought in his own game show, large screen for music videos and then the montage, MC and dancer. The boys had a fantastic time with their friends dancing, playing games and winning prizes. He also created our beautiful montage making sure everything was perfect! I highly recommend him.

"Great Bar Mitzvah Party"

Jose Castro did a great job running my son's Bar Mitzvah party on May 16, 2009. He kept the kids playing and dancing. They all had a fantastic time. My son told me that "his" DJ was way better than those at other mitzvah parties he had been to. Thank you Jose!!

"16th birthday house party"

Just had a joint 16th birthday party in home for 40-50 teenagers. DJ Castro with Avalon Entertainment did the music for the event and I would go on record saying he did a superb job ! Professional, organized and efficient in preparation as well as execution of event. Would recommend for parents trying to have music for a party and at the same time keep the music compromised in respect to teenager wishes and adult sensor for language/content. Great time!

Our company party was a huge hit with the help of Mr. Castro's super service! Everyone really enjoyed the Quest game and the Game Show that his staff implemented. Mr. Castro never complained once about meeting with us numerous times to make sure our event went off without a hitch. Our company will definitely use his services again in the future!

"Couldn't Be Happier!"

After researching DJs in the Baltimore/DC area, I chose Avalon Entertainment for our Back to School event at Towson Town Center. DJ Jose conducted a site visit a month in advance in order to ensure correct placement and spacing. We communicated via email and phone over the next month discussing playlists for the fashion show and Jose was always quick to respond. Our Back to School event started at 12:00 noon and Jose had all of his equipment set up and ready to go by this time. Two large flat screen monitors were positioned to play music videos (patron appropriate). This was a GREAT visual and gave that extra "Wow" factor. Throughout the 6-hour day, DJ Jose announced upcoming events and prize winners and had a great voice for this purpose. The event was a huge success with over a thousand people in attendance. I was greatly pleased with DJ Jose's performance and he was a true pleasure to work with - professional, flexible and happy to help. I have already recommended Avalon Entertainment to our PR Agency and will continue to recommend DJ Jose in the future.

We chose Avalon entertainment for my son's Bar Mitzvah based on a recommendation from a good friend in the business. Jose met with us a couple of months prior to the event to find out what kind of music our son liked and worked with him to come up with a playlist. We also discussed what kind of games our son wanted to play and helped us with ideas for party favors and where to get them. Jose played only age-appropriate music and videos and kept the kids involved and active during the entire event. Everyone enjoyed themselves and we received many compliments on his production. I would highly recommend Avalon Entertainment for any party and I would not hesitate to use Jose again in the future.

"Guaranteed Successful Event"

We chose Avalon entertainment for my daughter's Bat Mitzvah because we saw Jose Castro's work at another event. What we liked about his work is that he kept the kids and adults engaged, played music for all ages, and had games for the kids to play that put the celebrant front and center. He uses age-appropriate videos for the music, and was good-natured with all of our guests. About two months out from the date of our party, Jose came to meet with our family to find out what kind of music we like and worked with us to come up with a list of our favorite songs. We discussed which games our daughter wanted to play, and he gave us ideas regarding party favors and where we could get them. About a month out we began to work on a slide show, and he helped me pare down my selection of photographs from about 350 to 150. Not only was he helpful, he was a pleasure to work with. Jose was a great master of ceremonies, and with an assistant, ran the party seamlessly. For weeks after, we continued to get compliments about how much fun it was for guests of all ages. Not only would I recommend Avalon entertainment for anyone's party or wedding, I will be using them again in two years for my son's Bar Mitzvah celebration.

"Awesome B'nai Mitzvah"

Great reviews from both the kids and the adults. When the adults say, "the music was great and we could hear ourselves talk" and the kids danced the night away, we know it was a successful party. Jose kept the party moving, from the cocktail music to the kids' music videos to the Jeopardy game to the video of the kids photos he put together to music to the candle lighting ceremony. My kids wanted dancers and Jose supplied those as well. Great evening, great DJ, and great music! Thanks for everything! Highly recommended from a friend and now I will recommend to others.

Jose has a way of taking control of his portion of an event that is not overly possessive, but relieves the party giver complete confidence that they are able to focus their energies on other parts of the event, like enjoying themselves. What Jose has to offer is state of the art multi-disciplinary technology that wows even the technocrats. He assesses his audience accurately and plays to them. He keeps abreast of recent developments in his field by at least annually attending a professional educational conference of those similarly employed. Lastly, Jose has a big heart and he puts it into his work. For example, he came to my daughter's school and provided music for a family night pro bono. Of course, visibility can't hurt his business, but he genuinely likes kids and likes to make them happy. All is all, I would give Jose and all around great rating!!!!

Avalon Entertainment always brings the party to the event. As chair of a special event committee in the Anne Arundel area we use Avalon Entertainment on numerous occasions. they always have the latest music and the golden oldies that the crowd asks for.  They also have a large screen for music videos that the people enjoy. They understand that as an entertainment business there job is to bring the party and keep the people dancing.
